Kuleli Kaymak Mustafa Pasha Mosque was built in the early 18th century, between 1720 and 1721.
The mosque was built during the reign of Sultan Ahmed III by Nişancı Mustafa Pasha, a statesman who commanded the Ottoman Navy with the rank of Captain-ı Derya.
Kaymak Mustafa Pasha was born in Gallipoli, his father was the Ottoman vizier Kara İbrahim Pasha, and his mother was Fatma Hanım, the daughter of the Grand Vizier Merzifonlu Kara Mustafa Pasha, who made the Second Siege of Vienna.
